MII Hosts Popular Professional Development Sessions in Peru
Dec 15, 2009
For Immediate Release
Lima, Peru. Julie Viens, MII Managing Director, traveled to Lima, Peru in mid-November, hosted by her colleagues, Ana Maria Woll and Marisa Odria at Collegio Casuarinas, an IB preK-high school in Lima. On November 13 & 14, Ms. Viens provided professional development sessions for area early childhood, elementary, and secondary educators. Through presentation, discussion, and interactive, small group activities, participants explored the theory of multiple intelligences, learned about applications of the theory, and worked together to develop MI applications for their own contexts. The MI Institute and Collegio Casuarinas are working together to offer future professional development sessions and to develop an MI Institute presence in the region. Updates regarding our work in Latin America and other regions of the world will be posted here. Please click here to read an interview of Julie on the local newspaper:
